When I look at the words Paul used to describe our opponents, cosmic powers over this present darkness, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, this stark reality brings fear to my heart. This sobering reality helps explain why Christians aren’t more sanctified and having more influence in the world. Since we have to fight THOSE POWERS, just trying hard won’t work. We need to understand what the spiritual armor of Christ is and what it means to be it on.
