The human heart has a God-shaped vacuum. Knowing that, because of Christ, God delights in me and that he loves me unconditionally satisfies the deepest cravings of our hearts to be loved. But that is only part of our heart need. We were also made to be captivated--emotionally overcome with the greatness and sheer pleasure of knowing the most fantastic being in the universe, God, Himself.
