Toxic Masculinity means many things in our culture. To the degree that toxic masculinity refers to the ways that Adam’s fall into sin has affected men—causing rape, physical abuse, and the selfish use of power, Christians can affirm the use of this term. But it is often used along with an ideology that views differences in male/female roles as a social construct, (a form of patriarchy) that is oppressive. This ideology often identifies Christianity and the Bible’s teaching of complementarity as patriarchal, and repressive. This article shows that at the core of the biblical call to manhood is not TOXIC masculinity but LIFE-GIVING masculinity.

This article helps parents and church leaders shepherd their children through today's gender-confused culture. As our children grow into their teen years they need to realize that one of the highest callings Christ has for today's young adults is to show this broken world what redeemed masculinity and femininity look like.

Pornography can capture the heart of a child or teen in almost instantly, enslaving their hearts to a craving for illicit sexual pleasure that may plague them the rest of their lives.
